Thiago is the founder and lead engineer of QuickUse Calculator. He built the site after years of frustration with calculators that get the math right but the context wrong — splitting Brazilian labor law from US payroll math from generic finance with no overlap or comparability.

His background is in software engineering, with hands-on experience working between the Brazilian and US financial systems as an immigrant founder. That dual context shapes the editorial direction of the site: bilingual from day one, source-cited tables for every regulatory input, and decimal-precision math (never floating point) for every financial calculation.

Thiago personally writes or reviews every calculator on the site. The methodology page documents the validation process: official source links, yearly review cycles, and named reviewers credentialed in the relevant domain. When a calculator touches a topic outside his direct expertise — clinical pregnancy tracking, US-state-specific payroll deductions, Brazilian municipal property tax — the calculator is built against primary sources and validated against the calculator that the issuing body publishes (when available).

He is not a CPA, contador, or financial advisor. The site is a research and reference tool, not professional advice. For decisions involving material money or material risk, consult a credentialed professional. The "When NOT to use this calculator" section on every page is there for a reason.
