Terms of Service

By accessing or using any part of the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you are using the Site on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

These Terms apply to anyone who loads the Site in a browser, regardless of country. When local law grants you additional rights that cannot be waived by contract (for example under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or equivalent), those rights prevail over anything written here.

QuickUse Calculator is a free online tool that provides interactive calculators, worked examples, and short educational articles covering topics such as personal finance (compound interest, loans, FIRE planning, Brazilian labor and tax rules), health metrics (BMI, BMR, TDEE), date and percentage math, and similar everyday scenarios.

Every calculator is strictly informational. Nothing on the Site is advice — financial, tax, legal, medical, nutritional, or otherwise. The formulas we implement are published academic or regulatory formulas; we cite their sources on each calculator page. Individual outcomes depend on circumstances we cannot model (your full tax situation, your current health, the exact terms of a loan offer, and so on), and our numbers are estimates that may not reflect your case.

We publish the Site in English and Brazilian Portuguese. We may add, remove, rename, or redesign calculators at any time. We may also introduce new sections (blog, comparison pages, premium features) without prior notice.

The Site does not require an account. Everything you see is accessible without signing in. Calculations happen in your browser; your inputs are never transmitted to our servers. Your favorites and calculation history, when saved, live in your browser's local storage or IndexedDB and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

If in the future we add account-based features, we will publish a separate set of terms covering registration, authentication, and data portability. The current Terms assume anonymous, session-less use.

All content on the Site — editorial text, layouts, the brand (QuickUse, QUICKUSE CALCULATOR wordmark, logo), illustrations, the specific wording of examples and FAQ answers, and the compiled JavaScript and CSS — is owned by the Site operator and protected by Brazilian and international copyright and trademark law.

You may use the calculators freely for personal or commercial purposes, share links to the Site, and quote short excerpts of editorial text with attribution and a visible link back to the original page. You may not: (a) republish substantial portions of the editorial content on another website without written permission; (b) scrape, mirror, or systematically download the Site; (c) decompile, reverse-engineer, or otherwise reconstruct our compiled code; (d) remove or alter copyright, attribution, or brand notices; (e) use the QuickUse name or logo in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship we have not granted.

The mathematical formulas themselves are public domain. Our implementation, wording, examples, and editorial interpretation are not.

The Site is provided for ordinary human use. When using it you agree not to: (a) send automated traffic that degrades performance for other users or scrapes content at industrial scale; (b) attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or circumvent any security feature; (c) upload any file or input any string intended to execute code on our infrastructure; (d) use the Site in connection with any unlawful activity, including offering the tool as part of a service that violates tax, labor, or consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction; (e) impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or refuse service to any visitor whose behavior breaks these rules, at our sole discretion.

We fund the Site primarily through advertising. We participate in the Google AdSense program, which serves ads based on context or, subject to your consent, based on your inferred interests. Google and other participating ad networks may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to deliver ads. You can review and change your ad personalization settings at any time at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

When we test or deploy affiliate programs — for example, partner links to brokers, banks, or retailers adjacent to the calculators — we mark affiliate links with `rel="sponsored"` and, where practical, with a visible disclosure near the link. Clicking an affiliate link may earn the Site a commission at no additional cost to you; it does not change the information we publish.

Our Privacy Policy and our Cookies page describe in full what data is collected in connection with advertising and how you can opt out of personalized ads where applicable under the LGPD or GDPR. Where consent is required, we rely on a Google-certified consent management platform to collect and store your choice before any personalized advertising tag is loaded on the page you are visiting.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep formulas accurate and to cite primary sources. We do not, however, warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always current with the latest regulatory changes. Tax tables, contribution ceilings, and labor rules change during the year; we typically update within days of publication, but there may be gaps.

Nothing on the Site is a substitute for professional advice. For any decision that affects your money, your health, your employment, or your legal rights, consult a qualified professional — a licensed financial advisor, a physician, a registered dietitian, a CPA or attorney in your jurisdiction, or your union representative. Do not make a consequential decision solely on the basis of a calculation from this Site.

Calculators marked as YMYL ("Your Money or Your Life"), such as BMR/TDEE or loan calculators, display a prominent disclaimer near the bottom of the page restating this point. That disclaimer is part of these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site operator and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions where limitation of liability cannot be fully disclaimed, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to access the Site in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Because the Site is free, that amount is zero.

This clause does not attempt to limit liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any right that applicable consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Site operator and its contributors from any claim, demand, damage, or cost (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your misuse of the Site in violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) any content you submit via contact forms or email that infringes a third party's rights.

We may modify these Terms from time to time — to reflect new features, to comply with new regulations, or to clarify ambiguous language. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a notice on the home page for at least fifteen days. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

If a change materially reduces your rights and you do not agree, your remedy is to stop using the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, with express waiver of any other forum, however privileged.

Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of a mandatory protection afforded by the law of their country of residence when that law applies.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. We will replace the unenforceable provision with a lawful one that most closely matches our original intent.
